Melek Elif Somer

Melek Elif Somer was born in Istanbul, after graduating from Austrian High School, in 1998 she graduated from Vienna Technical University, Department of Architecture. After working in various architectural offices in Vienna, she got her Doctor of Technology degree in 2018 under execution of DDI O.Univ.Prof. Winter on Contemporary Timber Technologies. She is currently working at Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Architecture and Design. Her work focuses on buildings, construction materials and technologies, timber and steel structures in architecture.
