Gülşah Aykaç is an architect, lecturer, and researcher. She holds a PhD in Architecture from METU (2020) and formerly took BA (2009) and MA (2013) degrees at Istanbul Technical University Architecture Department. She has been producing together with independent urban initiatives AsiKeçi and Zıtlar Mecmuası based in Ankara since 2014. Her research focuses on socio-spatial narratives of urbanization, diverse and micro urban histories, and contemporary working conditions in architecture. She is particularly interested in thinking about places and design through feminist methodologies and pedagogies; and currently working on new ways of visual, textual, and collective representations of places as spaces.
