KKTC New Ercan Airport Was Put Into Service with The Participation of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
The New Ercan Airport Project, which impresses with its new terminal building, which will be equipped with the latest technology, nature-friendly structure and modern architecture, aims to maximize passenger comfort and convenience with the capacity to serve 10 million passengers.
The 50,000 m2 exterior cladding works of the Ercan Airport project, which was inaugurated on July 20, 2023 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, cost approximately 400 million Euros, and were carried out by Çuhadaroğlu Aluminum Industry company.
Ercan Airport’s terminal building, where the first landing was made with the plane carrying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was preferred on the flat façade cladding of the MN50 system with micro condensate channels, high thermal insulation, and also a specially designed multi-directional motion option sunshade system compatible with this system.
MN50 SC silicone facade system, which adds visual richness to the highly thermally insulated structure with micro condensate channels, was preferred on diagonally inclined facades. SKY 50 Skylight System was preferred for terminal roof skylight facade cladding. The S110 Automatic Sliding Door system of the interax brand, which provides maximum efficiency in the buildings with the comfort of strong and silent mechanisms, was used at the main entrance doors of the project.
