Weathered plaster, peeling paint on the door, sagging steps, remnants of writing on the walls. Each bears the trace of a moment, a fragment of time. In this street, renewal isn’t the essence - remaining as it is takes precedence. The cracks and stains tell the story: this place becomes real as it ages.

MURAT BERGI

He was born in Samsun in 1982. He started his photography studies in 2008 with various courses and workshops at Fototrek Photography Center and focused on the nationalist-conservative-marketeer transformation in Turkey. These works were exhibited at IFSAK in 2019 under the title Neo Ottoman – New Türkiye. His book with the same title was published in January 2024.
