The new and first branch of Simple Co., designed by CND Design Studio, opened its doors on Tunalı Hilmi Street, one of Ankara's liveliest spots. Blending contemporary industrial lines with nostalgic textures, the venue aims to offer a timeless atmosphere and a peaceful escape from the city's dynamic pace.
The design language establishes a unique identity by balancing industrial rigidity with a sense of warmth. Raw materials such as metal, concrete, and wood are combined with a refined aesthetic; rustic touches evoke traces of the past, while the emphasis remains on key elements of industrial architecture. Wooden surfaces and soft transitions temper this rigidity, creating a welcoming ambiance.
A calm and sophisticated color palette enhances the serene atmosphere, while furniture selections strike a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Shaped with a minimalist approach, the furniture emphasizes comfort alongside visual clarity. The flexible seating layout accommodates a range of scenarios—from solitary moments to social gatherings—supporting interaction through the space's fluid structure.
Lighting plays a key role in defining the venue’s identity. Natural light, filtered through large openings, adds dynamism during the day, while custom-designed pendants and wall fixtures create a warm and inviting evening mood. Soft lighting elements ease the sharpness of industrial lines, enhancing the welcoming feel and encouraging relaxation.
Rather than a simple consumption space, the venue is conceived as an experience—where past and present, industry and nature, simplicity and character converge.
