Barcelona-based BAX Studio has completed DCB Montana, a key project in the transformation of the Moste industrial zone in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Inaugurated in 2024, the 20,670 m² office building marks the first significant step in reshaping the area into a dynamic business district.

The design, selected through an international invited competition, emphasizes flexibility, sustainability, and engagement with public space. The ten-story building includes four flexible office units per floor, panoramic terraces with views of the city and nature, a restaurant, café, meeting rooms, and a multifunctional gallery. A central atrium enhances daylight and natural ventilation, while the building’s unique geometry—defined by two diagonally cut corners—establishes a bold architectural identity.

The striking facade features two large openings that create dramatic visual connections with the city and flood the interiors with light. With its energy-efficient strategies, DCB Montana has achieved DGNB Gold certification and an A1 energy rating, positioning it as one of the leading sustainable office buildings in Slovenia.
