Born in Istanbul in 1978, Cicek holds a masters’ degree in architecture from Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. She moved to Brussels after working in Munich, Vienna and Rotterdam. She worked as a project architect with Elia Zenghelis between 2005 and 2007 and for Robbrecht en Daem Architecten between 2007 and 2014. She has been participating as a lecturer in diploma studios in Interior Architecture at KU Leuven since 2009. She has published several articles on architecture and art in Turkey and Europe.
