Demet Sürücü
Demet Sürücü, graduated from Istanbul University Forest Industry Engineering in 2001. She completed her master's degree in the same field in 2005. While continuing her work on timber building materials, timber house production, timber structure restoration and repair, she established the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality KUDEB Timber Training Workshop in 2008. Until December 2020, she carried out the repair and restoration of more than 150 timber historical small buildings. She is a PhD candidate on Forest Industry Engineering and currently working on thesis which is Chemical Effects of Natural Aging on Historical Timber Structures of Istanbul. She is a board member of Turkish Timber Association. She is working at Bahçeşehir University, Architecture and Design Department as timber specialist.
